Recent news

We would like to share some sad news with Tai Chi Praying Mantis friends and family. One of our beloved eighth generation masters, Sifu Tom Ng (Ng Tai Man) of Shang De Tai Chi Paraying Mantis in Edmonton, Canada passed away peacefully August 29th, 2016 with his family and students at his side. It is a great loss to the Martial Arts community, and especially to our Chuk Kai Tai Chi Praying Mantis System.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10th, at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home. Address:

During the recent 25th Annual Chuk Kai Fedeartion banquet, 8th Generation successor and past fedeartion president Huy Chiang, announced the promotion of Gary Haus and David Moore to the honorable rank of Disciple. Gary and David offered tea to their Sifu and SiMo in the traditional Bai Si ceremony, and were presented certificates by Sifu Chiang. Gary and David are both instructors at Sifu Chiang's Shaolin Tai Chi Praying Mantis Institute in Avon, Ma, and have been loyal students of Sifu Chiang for several decades. Gary and David are both current board members of the Chuk Kai Tai Chi Praying Mantis Federation. Congratulations to both of these dedicated and experienced members in their new roles.

During the recent 25th Annual Chuk Kai Fedeartion banquet, 8th Generation successor and past fedeartion president Huy Chiang, announced that his son, Hung Chiang was being promoted to Chief Instructor of the Shaolin Tai Chi Praying Mantis Institute located in Avon, MA. Hung has been training with his father in Tai Chi Praying Mantis for over forty years, and has been teaching at the Chuk Kai Federation Annual seminars for more than twenty years. Hung currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Chuk Kai Tai Chi Praying Mantis Federation. Congratulations to Sifu Hung Chiang in his new role as Chief Instructor.
